HFC Bank on Thursday opened a new branch at Baatsona on the Spintex road in Accra to bring its banking services to the doorstep of its customers.

The new branch brings to 14 HFC Bank branches across the country.

The new branch will also serve as a Home Loan Centre to meet the needs of customers requiring loans for home improvement, home equity, home extension and home purchase as well as provide opportunity for homeowners to acquire additional ones.

Mr Asare Akuffo, Managing Director of the Bank, said the new branch was a demonstration of the Bank's commitment to meeting the needs and creating wealth for customers.

"HFC's arrival is different and special because we are the Bank that offers the most diversified financial services in the industry," he said.

Mr Akuffo said although the country faced unpleasant rising inflationary and interest rates, opportunity still existed for individuals to acquire modest homes through various mortgage products of the Bank.

He advised the public not to borrow in foreign currency, especially the United States dollar, if they did not earn incomes in that currency because they were likely to face significant repayment shocks arising from depreciation in the value of the Cedi.

He said the Bank was ready to provide solutions to financial challenges of customers and advised both existing and potential customers to do business with the Bank to enable them enjoy flexible loan benefits.

Nana Agyei Duku, Board Chairman of the HFC Bank, called on management to offer more mortgage services at affordable prices to enable more people acquire homes.
