Mr. Kwame Amporfo-Twumasi, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Sports, has said the government would not relent in efforts at providing facilities that would enhance education.

Mr. Amporfo-Twumasi, who is the MP for Nkoranza South, was addressing a meeting of the staff, parents and students of Busunya Secondary School at the weekend.

He had presented a 33-seater Tata bus donated by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) to the school and said the government had earmarked 200 of such buses for distribution to senior secondary schools in deprived communities.

The Deputy Minister advised parents to invest in the education of their children.

Mr. Kwabena Agyemang-Badu, the District Director of Education, expressed gratitude to the government for providing vehicles to three schools in the district within the year.

The schools are Nkoranza Technical School, Nkoranza Shalom Special School and Busunya Secondary School.
