Assembly honours Jukwa Secondary School

The Twifo-Heman-Lower Denkyira District Assembly on Wednesday honoured Jukwa Secondary School for emerging champions in the Central Region Schools and Colleges soccer competition.

In appreciation of its achievement, the Assembly presented a cheque of 10 million cedis to the School.

Mr Samuel Agyeibie-Kessie, the District Chief Executive who made the presentation, assured the School of the Assembly's continued support towards its preparations and urged the team to train harder to win more laurels for the Region at the next National Milo Games. He expressed the hope that other institutions and individuals in the District would make similar donations to assist the School in its preparations.

Ms Regina Amam, Headmistress of the School thanked the District Assembly's for its gesture and appealed for its assistance to enable the School put up a playing field and acquire a school bus. She said due to the lack of a playing field for the school, its sportsmen have to travel over three and half kilometres away for training and other sporting events.
