The Methodist High School at Saltpond is to get a 3.4 million Ghana cedi-block comprising 18 classrooms, two offices, a staff common room and a library.

The project which is being funded by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) is about 95 per cent completed.

Mr James Kweku Appiah, Managing Director of Messrs Jimmy and Co Limited, an Ajumako-based firm who led the Ghana News Agency to inspect the block said the project, which started in March 2006 would be handed over before the end of 2007.

The Reverend Paa Solomon Grant Essilfie, Headmaster, commended the contractor for doing a decent job ahead of schedule.

He also praised the government for the project and prayed that enrolment would increase.
