| Minister advises students to use time judiciously |

Mr Ignatius Baffour Awuah, Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, at the weekend advised students to use time profitably so that they could achieve their ambitions in life.
Addressing members of the Brong Ahafo Students Union at a fund raising ceremony in Sunyani, he said the "Ghanaian Time" syndrome was affecting the country's development, "as most workers attend to work late and leave early without performing efficiently".
Mr Baffour-Awuah noted that "students enter the universities very determined, but thinking there is more time ahead they end up failing in their examinations because they do not take pains to study".
"If students get to know the importance of time while in school, they would come out of school and practice it at their work places".
The Regional Minister urged the executives of the Union to include time management in their programmes to be of benefit to members.
Mr Baffour-Awuah asked the members to lead exemplary lives on campus for others to emulate and entreated them to encourage all students from the Region to join the Union.
The Right Reverend Baffour-Awuah, Bishop of Sunyani Diocese of the Methodist Church, urged the students to seek God and eschew negative acts on their various campuses, which could ruin their ambitions.
"Nothing can be achieved in life without God's assistance and He is ever ready to assist in all situations", he said.
The Bishop urged members of the Union to remain focused and study hard to become useful citizens and contribute their quota to national development.
Mr Robert Koomson, President of the Union, stated that the student body needed funds to help propel the development of education in the Region and called on benevolent organizations and individuals to assist.
He urged parents to put premium on their children's education so that they could become good leaders in future.
