Results of last year’s November December West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination have been released.

However, the results of 562 candidates are being temporarily withheld by the examination council.

The candidates were believed to have engaged in some form of examination malpractice and will have access to their results until investigations are concluded on the irregularities.

These were contained in a statement issued by the council.

According to the provisional results, out 95,127 candidates, 8, 542 candidates passed in eight subjects while 9340 candidates failed in all eight subjects.

There were cancellations.

There have agitations by students over delays in the release of the results, with complaints that closing dates for the various universities were due while the results were not being released to enable them fill their admission forms.
