The successful Obour.com tour in 2004 was the genesis of his nation wide tours. Last year when he launched the 'Best of the Lifes' project with highlife legend A.B Crentsil, he promised his fans another tour to hit 15 destinations in all ten regional capitals.

Obour and his crew took off as planned on 25th January to Tarkwa in the Western Region as their starting point. His Western Region fans have shown the way for others to emulate by their massive support for the BEST OF THE LIFES nationwide tour currently underway. It is to project to Ghanaians the achievements of Ghana's music industry over the years.

Family Tree Entertainment, organisers of the nationwide tour, expressed great appreciation to the people of Tarkwa and Takoradi in the Western Region for their huge support for the project. The Best of the Lifes nationwide tour has as its objective to establish a National Music Archive to serve as an information bank on Ghanaian music works.

Also, the tour has its campaign theme based on Road Safety and it is to promote the latest collaboration between Ghana`s music supremo; Obour of Hiplife and A. B. Crentsil of Highlife fame. The nationwide tour, which has the blessing and support of the Ghana@50 Secretariat is to excite Ghanaians ahead of the nation`s 50th anniversary celebrations.

Tarkwa, the first point of call was simply fantastic with great performances from top artistes like Akatakyie, Kwaw Kese, C. K. Mann, Triple O and the dynamic duo of Obour and A. B. Crenstil.

The people of Tarkwa openly embraced the tour by patronising the show in their numbers. One unique feature of the tour was the presence of both old and young people at the venues.

Sharing his views on the project, a 65-year-old man said, 'this collaboration is a very critical one and we must all support it; perhaps the finest present to Ghanaians for the Golden Jubilee. The older generation has been left out of the fun for quite sometime now, now thank God for Obour and A. B. Crentsil, our expectations have been met. How refreshing to hear great tunes of yester-years fused with that of today.

Family Tree Entertainment, the organisers are full of optimism about the positive impact the tour is set to make. Artistes like Obrafour, Mzbel, Akatakyie, Samini and others will join the tour as it rolls on.
