Accra-based Hot FM morning show host, Frimpong Manso, aka Adakabre, has refuted allegations by a section of the public that he makes a lot of noise on air.

According to Adakabre, all those who claim he made a lot of noise on radio did not understand what radio was about and did not also appreciate the work radio presenters in Ghana were doing for the society.

In a chat, Adakabre, who is the general manager of Hot FM declared, “I am not a noise maker but a talented radio presenter who wants to satisfy all class of radio listeners.

During my programme, I have humour and create laughter to meet the demand of all those who listen to my programme such as drivers, market women, teachers, doctors among others.”

He stated that his programme, Maakye on Hot FM was designed to tackle problems affecting society by making those problems known to political authorities with the view to finding solutions them.

“As a radio presenter and the host of the morning show on Hot FM, I am always determined to find a last solution to problems affecting both the people and society as a whole.

“I do not incite resource persons who appear on my programme but rather invoke emotions and passions within them. I'm a confident, determined, talented and skillful presenter with the aim of taking Ghanaian radio to another level.

With so many years in radio and the experience gained so far, I have prepared very well to meet the challenges ahead,” he pointed out.

Many would argue that Ghana’s radio industry was becoming dormant but the immense contributions by certain presenters had kept the industry alive. Adakabre said he was all-out for action and would do everything to ensure the industry never dies.

His programme, aired from 6:30am to 10am from Monday to Friday, is one of the few programmes on radio that take listeners deep into what pertained in the rural areas.

Listeners of Maakye on Hot FM in the various communities are assured of prompt response to their needs as authorities involved are not allowed to make empty promises.
