THE Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has held what it termed a family meeting, in Accra, aimed at thrashing out petty differences among Musicians.

The meeting convened at the instance of the President of the Union, Alhaji Sidiku Buari, sought to bring on board, other factional musicians. In an address, Alhaji Sidiku stressed the need for the various Musicians to forge a common front to pursue their interest.

He said division within their ranks is costing them a lot, adding that, some people have taken advantage of their disunity to engage in piracy, which is affecting them financially.

He urged the various groups to forget the past and work together with MUSIGA, which is the Umbrella body especially in this jubilee year. He explained that the continued disintegration of their front is disincentive to progress.

Prominent Musicians who attended the meeting included, Rex Omar, Kojo Aquai, Amanzeba Nat Brew, Dr. Sogah and Gyedu Blay Ambolley. They were all impressed with the meeting and pledged to work together with MUSIGA to ensure that Musicians work with a common voice.
