GA HIPLIFE icon Tinny is one of Ghana’s charitable musicians chosen to perform together with international music icons John Legend and Luciano at a concert dubbed “Soul of Africa”, in aid of flood victims in the three northern regions.

The concert which is meant to raise funds to obtain relief items for the flood victims would take place on Saturday October 27 at the Independence Square in Accra.

It would feature other artistes as Reggie Rockstone, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Obrafour, Kwaw Kese and many others. Sponsored by TIGO, the rate for the event is GH˘2 for average patrons and GH˘20 for very important personalities (VIP).

Tinny is yearning to lend his support to the concert, thus he has sent a word to his numerous admirers, asking them to be at the show to raise funds for relief items to help the flood victims instead of just coming to watch him and other artistes perform.

“I think such a thing can happen to any one of us. So if it happens to our brothers and sisters up north and there is a concert to raise funds, we must all support.

I don’t think my show should let somebody donate something. They don’t need to see me perform before giving out something. All of us must help.

My fans need to be there for the victims because it has happened and it is serious. We are not joking about this programme at all,” said Tinny.

He told Beatwaves that he was happy to be part of this noble concert since it was a way of giving back to society, which helped him rise to fame.

According to him this is not going to be his first time as he has performed on other charity shows in UK and Italy.

Three years ago he personally donated to orphans at the Osu Children’s Home in Accra and as well donated to children at the Manya Krobo Orphanage in the Eastern Region this year.

The artiste noted also that his much awaited 15-track album, “Kaa Bu Ame” would be released before December.

He said it would first come out on CD and followed by cassette in six months time. Some of the songs on the album are on his website www.mytinny.com
