A large number of movie stars, producers and stakeholders in both film and music industries yesterday trooped to the community 19 residence of the late Kwame Owusu Ansah to give their condolences to his family.

They expressed shock at the sudden death of the Ghanaian actor, who passed away last week after a motor accident.

Most of the mourners burst into uncontrollable tears as soon as they set eyes on the family members. Kwame Owusu-Ansah died on Friday afternoon at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on May 2 after a motor accident on the Tema Motorway.

Kwame’s Toyota Camry with registration number GT 4665Z ran straight under a packed cargo truck with registration number AS 3246 W and in the process he suffered multiple head and waist injuries.

He would be buried on Saturday, June 14 at the Osu Cemetary after wake-keeping at the headquarters of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) on Friday June 13.

The burial would be followed by a church service and family gathering at community 19.

Among those present were Kwabena Agyapong, former presidential spokesperson, Harry Laud, Grace Nortey, Dzifa Agbetepey, Selasi Ibrahim, Mark Okraku Mantey, members of the Actors Guild, Fadda Dickson and Kwami Sefa-kayi of Peace FM, some selected staff of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), and a host of others.
