Three people injured in a road accident

Three persons were injured, two of them seriously when a Nissan Urvan bus crashed into the offices of a construction firm opposite Agbogbomefia's palace in Ho on Sunday morning.

The driver of the bus said to be a mechanic, escaped from the scene with minor injuries, eyewitnesses told the Ghana News Agency (GNA). Master Danu Etse, 16, a driver's mate who had serious head injuries was admitted at the Volta Regional Hospital and Mr George Debra who received serious arm injuries was admitted at the Ho Municipal Hospital.

Mr Eric Danu, a driver and brother of Etse briefing the GNA at the Volta Regional Hospital alleged that driver of the bus, which was taken from a mechanic shop offered to convey Etse and Debra to the Ho main lorry station. He said the driver realized that the bus had faulty brakes and when he reached the traffic light at the Civic Centre it veered into the offices of EMEF Construction.
