NPP elects parliamentary candidate for Abetifi

Mr Wiafe Peprah has been elected to contest the Abetifi constituency parliamentary seat on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at a delegate conference at Bokuruwa.

The candidate, the Managing Director of Paramount Distilleries, an alcoholic beverages company in Kumasi obtained 88 votes.

Two other contestants, the Minister for Communication, Dr Benjamin Aggrey-Ntim and Benjamin Kofi Boamah, a Pharmacist who had 15 and 10 votes respectively.

Mr Peprah thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in him and invited the other contestants to support him win the seat.

He appealed to the delegates other party supporters to unite and intensify their campaign to enable the NPP to win the seat.

The two contestants pledged to support Mr Peprah to win the seat and the presidential election.

Mr Yaw Gyekye Amoabeng, NPP Eastern Regional chairman, commended the delegates for ensuring a peaceful election and urged them to unite and support the candidate to win the parliamentary seat.
