The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Lower Manya Krobo, Michael Teye Nyaunu, has conceded the party is in dire need of resources to carry out a healthy campaign through out the country.

He told Joy News on Friday the party is “certainly broke but it is also desperate” to win the elections.

He said the NDC is finding it difficult to raise funds to purchase basic logistics like motor bikes, bicycles, fuels among others for its campaign.

The controversial MP said he has spotted some well-to-do people in the party, who can lend a helping-hand, but have remained unconcerned about the turbulent situation they are going through.

Mr. Teye Nyaunu cautioned those he said are sitting on the fence to better get active in the running of the party.

Although, he did not mention names, he noted that those people benefited from the NDC when it was in power and said it is their turn to pay back.

He said the election is less than five months ahead and called on all hands to be on deck to enable the NDC to get back power.

“Some are sitting on the fence with one leg in the organization (NDC) and the other outside. When we win power, they will come back to say I have five years ministerial experience and ambassadorial experience.

“Before elections, if I don’t see them coming back, I will start mentioning names,” he threatened.
