The National Democratic Congress campaign for the 2008 elections, has been given a boost by the party founder, Jerry John Rawlings.
The former President is currently on a three-day tour in the Brong Ahafo Region, where he would be canvassing support to augment the NDC’s chances of capturing power in the December polls.
Mr. Rawlings has already paid a courtesy call on the chiefs and elders of Sankore in the Asunafo District.
He is being accompanied by his aide, Kofi Adams and the Member of Parliament for Asutifi South, Alhaji Collins Dauda.
The tour is part of a three-pronged strategy adopted by the NDC to enable it to campaign effectively across the country.
Under the strategy, whilst the party’s presidential candidate, Prof. John Evans Attah Mills is touring one part of the country, his running mate, John Dramani Mahama, would be at a different place and the party founder, J.J. Rawlings would also be campaigning often at the same time but at a another part of the country.
