Kumasi gets another ultra-modern hotel

The hospitality industry in the Kumasi Metropolis, on Saturday received a boost with the inauguration of a new ultra-modern hotel at Santasi-Anyinam on the Kumasi-Obuasi highway.

The two-star hotel called the Champions International Hotel has 25 bedrooms furnished with the state of the art decor and exquisite bathrooms and other amenities.

The facility also has a swimming pool, cocktail bar, a 100-capacity conference room, a poolside bar, restaurant and a satellite Television service.

Mr Kwaku Frimpong, Chief Executive Officer of the hotel, speaking at the inauguration, said the provision of the facility had added to the already existing ones in the metropolis.

He said the hotel would offer employment to over 20 people adding that the workers would endeavour to provide good services to clients.

Oheneba Adusei-Poku, the Akyempemhene of Kumasi, who inaugurated the hotel, said the metropolis was currently developing with an impressive state of the art modern hotel facilities springing up there.

He said the hotel, was a useful addition to the hospitality industry in Kumasi which would offer jobs to the youth and support business activities.
